2004 - Rockingham, NC - For the first time in 2004,
Tommy Lipar has two cars in professional eliminations on
Sunday. Back from quintuple bypass heart surgery,
Von Smith finds himself behind the wheel of Dr. Moon's
RAGE in the 9th qualifying position out of the 46 Pro
Modified entries fighting for only 16 spots in Sunday's
eliminations. TLR's second entry is the team's Funny
Car driven by Joshua Hernandez who is occupying the 6th
qualifying spot in the 16 car field. Hernandez will
face Melinda Green-King in the first round while Von Smith
will square off with Steve Salvadore in their round one
match up.
