Canadian rains wash out
more than just qualifying

- Saturday's Pro Modified qualifying session was cancelled
and the elimination field set with the two qualifying runs
from Friday. After two attempts at negotiating
Edmonton's rough track surface, Von Smith bested a 6.866,
part throttle ET landing him outside the field for
Saturday morning. As luck would have it, the team
was met with torrential rains all day Saturday and were
disappointed to hear the announcement of the cancellation
and the teams' first DNQ. The team heads for Milam,
MI, just outside of Detroit, for the Motor City Nationals
on July 16 -18.
